My site has been redesigned!

If this is your first time here, then welcome. And just disregard the above sentence.

Here’s something most people don’t know: I started writing Life’s Dewlaps way, way back in September of 2008. Over four years ago.

(Some of those early posts are a little embarrassing.)

And over the last four years I’ve worked diligently, but somewhat irregularly, to bring my readers content that will make them smile, laugh and even bring a tear to their eye. Yes, and every once in a while gross them out with my over-sharing.

I have that way about me.

And in the last four years, I’ve had my ups and downs with writing. A kind of love hate. There have been some times when I’ve taken a break because I. Just. Didn’t. Want. To. Do. It. ANYMORE.

But I can never stay away for too long.

Because I have to write. Writing is a part of who I am.

And those of you who write, you know what I’m talking about.

And once I came to terms with that, I decided to give myself a pretty home to write in.

And more importantly, to give my readers an easier way to find what interests them. You can browse by topic or search by key words. You can subscribe to email updates. And there’s even a new About Me page. (Check out the photos of me taken by my kid.)

I didn’t do it all by myself. I had the help of Zak over at Office Thug.

He got what I wanted my design to do. And added his expertise. He didn’t even seem fazed by some of my subject matter. (Thanks Zak.)

I’d like to think that I’ve come a long way, baby.

But in truth, I’ve got a long way to go.

I’m up for it. Hope you’ll come along.
